A FALL ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT WAVENY PARK

Fall engagement sessions in New England never disappoint, especially when they take place at Waveny Park in New Canaan, Connecticut! Jackie and Alex’s October session was filled with vibrant fall color, golden light, and the sweetest moments between two people who couldn’t stop smiling at each other.

Before their session, Jackie and Alex told me they were “a little awkward” in front of the camera, but they proved themselves completely wrong within minutes! From the moment we started, they just clicked. Whether they were laughing through a pose, walking hand in hand, or sharing a quiet moment together, everything felt so natural and genuine.

Waveny Park truly showed off that day. Despite it being an overcast afternoon, the trees were bursting with rich shades of yellow, orange, and red. We wandered through the open field, stopped along the back terrace of Waveny House, and soaked up every bit of that dreamy fall atmosphere. Jackie’s elegant outfit paired perfectly with the season’s warm tones, and Alex’s classic look completed their effortlessly timeless vibe.

Jackie and Alex’s Waveny Park engagement session was such a joy to photograph. Their love and easy chemistry made every image feel like a scene from a classic love story. These two are getting married in January and celebrating at Whitby Castle, and we cannot wait to see their day come to life!

THE PROPOSAL STORY

Alex pulled off the sweetest surprise proposal on the beach just around the corner from Jackie’s family’s beach house in Hampton Bays, New York. She thought they were heading out for a fun night to see one of their favorite bands at a nearby winery, but Alex had an entirely different plan in mind!

Before leaving, they took their dogs, Stashu and Freddie, for a quick walk on the beach like they always do. Jackie hesitated at first (they were dressed up and ready to go out, after all!), but Alex insisted. As they made their way down the sand, he started sharing all the reasons he loved her and wanted to spend forever together. When they reached the end of the beach, Alex got down on one knee, with their pups curiously sniffing the ring box, and asked Jackie to marry him!

When they returned to the beach house, Jackie was met with another surprise: family and friends waiting to celebrate their engagement together. It was the most joyful, love-filled day from start to finish!
