Coastal Autumn Engagement Session in Southport, CT | Megan & Craig
A SOUTHPORT HARBOR ENGAGEMENT SESSION
This week, I had the joy of photographing Megan and Craig’s engagement session in the charming neighborhood surrounding Southport Harbor. Southport is one of my favorite spots in Connecticut for portraits; it’s full of coastal New England charm, with its historic homes, quiet streets, and the harbor sparkling just as the sun begins to set.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The weather was perfect; warm enough for a stroll by the water, with that crisp autumn air that makes fall in New England feel so special. As golden hour settled in, the light created the most dreamy backdrop for Megan and Craig’s engagement photos!
These two were complete naturals in front of the camera. Their laughter, ease, and the way they look at one another made photographing them such a joy. Sessions like this are the ones that remind me why I love what I do, capturing the genuine connection between two people in love.
If this engagement session was any indication, I already know their wedding next September is going to be incredible. Megan and Craig, thank you for such a wonderful evening exploring Southport together. I can’t wait to celebrate with you both next year!
THE PROPOSAL STORY
While on a recent vacation in Italy, Craig planned a day of private wine tours for him and Megan. Their last stop was at Poggio Amorelli Vineyards, a family-owned vineyard in Tuscany. They enjoyed a private lunch paired with some of the family’s favorite wines while sitting on the patio and taking in the most incredible view. Towards the end of lunch, Craig started to tell Megan how he couldn’t wait to start a family and he pulled out a ring! He asked her to marry him, and after staring at him in shock, Megan began to cry. The waiter came over, and when he saw the ring, he cheered as did all of the other staff and bystanders!
These two are getting married next September at The Milbrook Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, and we cannot wait to see their day come to life! Congratulations Megan and Craig!
