A GREAT RIVER GOLF CLUB WEDDING

Maggie and Tre’s October wedding at Great River Golf Club in Milford, Connecticut was the perfect blend of elegance, joy, and celebration. Every detail of their day reflected their warmth and love for one another, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

After getting ready for the festivities, Maggie and Tre shared a sweet first look in the heart of the golf club. It was such a tender moment, full of excitement for the day ahead. Maggie surprised Tre with a photo pin of their late pup, Mary, for him to wear on his suit lapel, and she had a matching one for her bouquet. After the first look, we explored more of the property together, capturing romantic portraits bathed in soft, natural light. The lush greens, gentle fall breeze, and golden October sunlight created the perfect backdrop for photos of the bride and groom!

Their wedding color palette was stunning, a mix of deep berry tones, light pinks and purples, dusty roses, greenery, and touches of white. These colors beautifully complemented the natural landscape of Great River Golf Club and added a romantic, timeless feel to every photograph. From the floral arrangements to the wedding party attire, each detail was thoughtfully chosen and perfectly cohesive.

One of the most special parts of the day was seeing some familiar faces again. Arturo and I had the joy of photographing Maggie’s brother and sister-in-law’s wedding in 2023, and it was such a treat to reconnect with this wonderful family and document another chapter of their story!

The evening unfolded with sweet speeches, laughter, and a packed dance floor as friends and family celebrated the newlyweds. The combination of elegant design, joyful energy, and genuine emotion made this October wedding truly unforgettable!

THE LOVE STORY

Tre and Maggie’s story began at a July 4th party in 2015, where they were officially introduced after years of crossing paths through mutual friends. From that day forward, they were inseparable. The Fourth of July has remained a special date for them, as they celebrate it every year as their anniversary.

Fast forward to July 2024, when Tre planned a beautiful proposal at the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford. Earlier that week, he casually suggested a weekend walk, which immediately raised a hint of suspicion in Maggie. To keep the surprise intact, he told her he wanted to make it up to her for spending so many evenings out playing softball.

Behind the scenes, Tre had enlisted help from Maggie’s mom and brother, Johnny, to plan the perfect setup. During his lunch break, he met them at the Arboretum to scout the best location for the proposal. With gold and white balloons, white flowers, and champagne, Maggie’s mom added thoughtful, romantic touches, while Johnny helped move tree stumps to create the ideal spot.

That afternoon, Tre, Maggie, and their dog, Mary, arrived at the arboretum for what seemed like a simple walk. As they strolled the paths, Maggie noticed balloons ahead, leading to a sign that read “Will you marry me?” surrounded by the beautiful setup. Tre got down on one knee and opened a box containing her dream ring. Hidden nearby, Maggie’s mom and brother captured the emotional moment as the newly engaged couple celebrated their next chapter together!
