There’s something so special about photographing families who were once one of our wedding clients, and Nicole and Ryan are no exception! Arturo and I had the joy of capturing their wedding day in 2023, and this fall, we met up with them again for their family photography session at South Pine Creek Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut with their adorable son, Ash.

We lucked out with one of those perfectly moody November afternoons; overcast skies, an autumn chill in the air, and just enough wind to give everything that cozy, windswept feel. South Pine Creek Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut, is such a hidden gem for family photos. The soft sand, coastal grasses, and gentle waves made the perfect backdrop for this relaxed session.

From the moment we started, Ash stole the show with his big, joyful smile! He giggled the entire time as his parents snuggled him close and strolled along the shoreline. There was such an easy, natural energy between the three of them, exactly the kind of warmth and connection that makes family photography so special. Watching Nicole and Ryan laugh with their son and seeing how much he adored their attention made the whole session feel full of love and light, even under the cloudy sky!
