A CALF PASTURE BEACH FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
There’s something so special about seeing our wedding clients again after they tie the knot, this time as parents who are building their beautiful families. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is that my work doesn’t end when the wedding day does. It continues through the milestones and memories that come afterward, and that’s exactly what makes sessions like this one so meaningful!
Arturo and I had the joy of photographing Brittny and Walter’s wedding back in 2022, and this fall I had the privilege of welcoming them (and their adorable son, Carlo) back in front of my camera for their second family session with me. Watching couples we once captured as fiancés and newlyweds step into their next season of life is one of the greatest joys of my work.
We met at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, Connecticut, a spot that’s always gorgeous no matter the season. On this particular evening, the weather gave us a dramatic mix: a little wind, some clouds rolling overhead, and the kind of soft, glowing light that makes every image look like magic! Overcast skies are often a gift for photographers, and paired with the beach’s subtle fall tones, the setting created the perfect backdrop for this family session.
Carlo was the star of the show; curious, playful, and full of personality. Seeing Brittny and Walter with him reminded me of how quickly life changes in just a few short years. From saying “I do” to chasing after their little one along the shoreline, it’s incredible to be able to document these moments for them!
Family sessions like this are a reminder of why I love what I do. It’s not just about photographs, it’s about relationships. It’s about continuing to be a part of our couples’ stories long after their wedding day, and capturing the love that grows year after year!
