Hello friends!! Over the past few weeks, Arturo and I have been thinking about the idea of Couple's Mini Sessions. We absolutely adore photographing couples and the love they share. So often a couple may think they'll only need a photographer if they're engaged, getting married or celebrating an anniversary. While those are all totally valid reasons to hire a professional photographer, today's post was written to encourage you to celebrate the in-between moments of your relationship. Maybe you two just found out your family is going to be growing, or you just want to remember how your life looked together at this particular point in time. Plus, it's always nice to have updated photographs of you both around your home! Still wondering why you should hire a professional photographer to take photos of you two? Read my blog post, 4 Everyday Reasons to Book a Couple's Portrait Session.
Aside from the fact that we love working together on each of our engagement sessions and wedding days, Arturo and I are big believers in celebrating life every single day, no matter how big or small whatever it is you're celebrating. Because of this, we've decided to offer Couple's Mini Sessions! Whether you're celebrating an anniversary or just everyday life together, our mini sessions allow us to document your life and love as it looks today.
The Couple's Mini Sessions are $250 and include the following:
* A 30-minute session at the location of your choice
* Digital images
* Private, password protected online gallery

Though it was humid and the sun kept peeking in and out from behind the clouds, the lighting was wonderful to create some beautiful engagement photos for Kelsey and Kyle! The Yale campus in downtown New Haven has always been one of my favorite places to photograph couples due to it’s gorgeous architecture.
I shared so many laughs with Michelle and Dan; seeing how they naturally cuddled up in front of the camera made me that much more excited for their wedding day later this year! This little Southport neighborhood has some of my favorite waterfront homes and buildings, which made for fantastic backdrops to their photos!
Arturo and I loved hanging out with Summer and Matt during their engagement session in front of Sterling Memorial Library. They’re sweet as can be, and so much fun to be around. There was no shortage of laughter and love between the two of them!
We had the most beautiful spring day for Ashley and Dan’s Chamard Vineyards engagement session! We walked among the rows of grapevines, stopping every so often in the best light to capture romantic engagement photos for these two!
Minutes before their session started, the clouds moved in but Arturo and I weren’t worried! From our own cloudy and rainy wedding day, we know that overcast skies mean BRIGHT pops of color in portraits. That’s exactly what Sabrina and Anthony’s engagement photos have!
I loved that Nick and Jess chose to do their engagement session at the same venue where they’ll be getting married this summer! The natural light at Candlelight Farms Inn in New Milford, Connecticut is absolutely dreamy. The farm sits near at top of a mountain with views of the surrounding rolling hills and breathtaking sunsets!
I loved the reason Jake and Brenna decided to have their engagement photos taken at Hammonasset Beach State Park; it’s where they “officially” started dating seven years ago!
With Yale’s stunning, timeless architecture and spring blooms finally making an appearance, I knew Chris and Andrea’s engagement portraits were going to be beautiful. As luck would have it, there was a major student event going on that evening, so all of my favorite spots at Yale were jam-packed with people! To avoid too many students walking around in the background of Chris and Andrea’s photos, Arturo and I took them one block over from where we usually start off. It was here that we stumbled upon the stunning courtyard in front of Sterling Memorial Library!
As I pulled up to Eolia Mansion, a dense fog covered the grounds of the estate. Though I knew the mist and fog would look amazing in Janel and Phil's engagement photos, I was worried it wouldn't show much of the beautiful architecture that they wanted in their portraits! Janel and Phil didn’t let the fog steal their joy, and luckily, with a little experimenting I was able to create some of my favorite engagement photos to date.
We always love when our couples choose to have their engagement sessions photographed somewhere that has a special meaning to them. Julia mentioned to me she hoped to have their engagement photos taken at The Shore and Country Club in Norwalk, Connecticut because it was somewhere she spent much of her time growing up!
