Hello friends!! Over the past few weeks, Arturo and I have been thinking about the idea of Couple's Mini Sessions. We absolutely adore photographing couples and the love they share. So often a couple may think they'll only need a photographer if they're engaged, getting married or celebrating an anniversary. While those are all totally valid reasons to hire a professional photographer, today's post was written to encourage you to celebrate the in-between moments of your relationship. Maybe you two just found out your family is going to be growing, or you just want to remember how your life looked together at this particular point in time. Plus, it's always nice to have updated photographs of you both around your home! Still wondering why you should hire a professional photographer to take photos of you two? Read my blog post, 4 Everyday Reasons to Book a Couple's Portrait Session.
Aside from the fact that we love working together on each of our engagement sessions and wedding days, Arturo and I are big believers in celebrating life every single day, no matter how big or small whatever it is you're celebrating. Because of this, we've decided to offer Couple's Mini Sessions! Whether you're celebrating an anniversary or just everyday life together, our mini sessions allow us to document your life and love as it looks today.
The Couple's Mini Sessions are $250 and include the following:
* A 30-minute session at the location of your choice
* Digital images
* Private, password protected online gallery

As I pulled up to Eolia Mansion, a dense fog covered the grounds of the estate. Though I knew the mist and fog would look amazing in Janel and Phil's engagement photos, I was worried it wouldn't show much of the beautiful architecture that they wanted in their portraits! Janel and Phil didn’t let the fog steal their joy, and luckily, with a little experimenting I was able to create some of my favorite engagement photos to date.
We always love when our couples choose to have their engagement sessions photographed somewhere that has a special meaning to them. Julia mentioned to me she hoped to have their engagement photos taken at The Shore and Country Club in Norwalk, Connecticut because it was somewhere she spent much of her time growing up!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, winter weddings and engagement sessions are absolutely beautiful!! The soft winter light paired with the right surroundings make for a perfectly romantic setting. Vanessa and Jairo’s engagement session at Walnut Beach was just that!
One Sunday afternoon Mike put their song on, “In My Life” by the Beatles. That’s when he asked Laura to come dance with him in the middle of the living room. Mike then got down on one knee, pulled out a beautiful engagement ring, and asked Laura to marry him!
When Amanda and Kyle mentioned that they wanted to have their engagement photos taken during the holiday season with wondrous lights and decor surrounding them, who were Arturo and I to argue?! We met up with Kyle and Amanda in Downtown Westport, Connecticut which is quaintly decorated for Christmas. It was the perfect setting for our last session of 2018!
We had the beach and the park to ourselves during Dana and Tom’s engagement session, enjoying the beautiful coastal views and the Manhattan skyline in the distance. They also brought along their sweet pup, Dagger, to join them in a few photos, and even battled the chilly sand as they walked along the beach barefoot as the sun started to really shine!
While vacationing in France, Rachel and Marc visited a small village called Eze. It was here that Marc popped the question on a beautiful mountainside with a stone that has now been in Rachel's family for 4 generations!
The joy that Felicia and Dave share is absolutely contagious! I adored that they chose to do their engagement session at the cascades of Lake Mohegan which has such special meaning to them!
While vacationing in Bermuda, Sarah and Shawn took a cab to John Smith's Bay one evening, where Shawn proposed at sunset! Even more to Sarah’s surprise, he arranged for a local photographer to take some photos so the two could share the moment with their families!
Though Kevin and Kate officially met while studying abroad in London, they both attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, which made for the perfect spot for their engagement session!
