Hello friends!! Over the past few weeks, Arturo and I have been thinking about the idea of Couple's Mini Sessions. We absolutely adore photographing couples and the love they share. So often a couple may think they'll only need a photographer if they're engaged, getting married or celebrating an anniversary. While those are all totally valid reasons to hire a professional photographer, today's post was written to encourage you to celebrate the in-between moments of your relationship. Maybe you two just found out your family is going to be growing, or you just want to remember how your life looked together at this particular point in time. Plus, it's always nice to have updated photographs of you both around your home! Still wondering why you should hire a professional photographer to take photos of you two? Read my blog post, 4 Everyday Reasons to Book a Couple's Portrait Session.
Aside from the fact that we love working together on each of our engagement sessions and wedding days, Arturo and I are big believers in celebrating life every single day, no matter how big or small whatever it is you're celebrating. Because of this, we've decided to offer Couple's Mini Sessions! Whether you're celebrating an anniversary or just everyday life together, our mini sessions allow us to document your life and love as it looks today.

Kelly and Dan are an absolute wonderful match! They laughed and smiled together, while simultaneously rocking their time in front of my camera. The pair even brought a bottle of champagne with personalized flutes to enjoy during some of their session, which added such a fun element to their portraits!
During Elizabeth and Johnny’s engagement session, we spent the evening walking around Playland, stopping in front of some of the iconic rides. The warm summer air mixed with the sweet smell of treats and popcorn immediately brought me back to the excitement I would feel during my childhood visits to the park. I just adore these two and loved seeing the connection they have!
I photographed Ellen and Bobby’s engagement session at Waveny Park in New Canaan, Connecticut where we were graced with the most beautiful sunset! They brought along their adorable golden retriever pup, Piper, who was so well behaved during her time in front of the camera! We walked around the perimeter of the park, chatting about their upcoming wedding which is definitely going to be one for the books!
As a portrait photographer in Connecticut, I'm always thankful when Mother Nature cooperates and gives us beautiful, golden, glowy light for our clients' photo sessions here in New England! I felt especially thankful during Vicki and Kevin's engagement session at Walnut Beach in Milford last weekend. The evening sunlight was purely magical, which only further highlighted the love that these two share!
Fabiola and Luis have such a beautiful connection, which definitely shows in through in their photos! You can feel the love they share, even after spending only a few minutes with them. Luis and Faby opted for a morning engagement session, which meant we started shooting at 7am. Not only were they bright eyed and bushy tailed for their session, but they also arrived in the most fabulous outfits which coordinated perfectly!
When Jackie told me that she and Toby wanted to do their engagement session at her parents' house in Avon, Connecticut, I was pretty excited. This was a location that they loved and had personal meaning to them. What I didn't expect were the gorgeous views and amazing sunset that we'd have at the end of their session!
Shannon and Jamie share such a beautiful chemistry and sweet love story. They've known each other since high school and started dating in college. Throughout their session, Jamie would gently kiss Shannon on the forehead or softly take her hand as we walked around the university campus. It rained during the majority of their session, so he made sure that she was covered with the umbrella as we walked from place to place around Yale and even held her dress to avoid any puddles! Let me tell you, it was the sweetest thing!
Kate and David arrived from California early on the morning of their engagement session date, just in time for their ridiculously cold session with Arturo and me that evening! These two were champs facing the bitter cold that day, especially since they had just come from 75° weather! It was extra windy that afternoon, making our normal 28° feel like it was below zero. Luckily we had some of the most gorgeous light that Arturo and I have photographed a session in all winter, which definitely helped to make up for all of our frozen hands and faces!
Arturo and I loved photographing these two dear friends of ours during an anniversary session at The Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, Florida! Norman and Jacqui will be celebrating 20 years of marriage later this year!! About 30 years ago, they met in one of their high school study halls and fell in love. Let me tell you, they're still just as crazy about each other as the day they met!
Almost six years ago, Amberly and Cedric were married in Miami in front of an intimate group of friends and family. While I had two seasons of wedding photography experience at that point, their wedding was the very first one I ever photographed on my own. While Arturo and I were away on an impromptu trip to South Florida, we took some time to capture the love and bond Amberly and Cedric share during a sweet anniversary session!
