Tod's Point Engagement Session in Greenwich, CT | Dana & Tom
Sunrise engagement sessions are always beautiful, especially with the soft winter light in the colder months! Dana and Tom’s early morning engagement session at Tod’s Point in Greenwich, Connecticut yesterday is perhaps one of our favorites of this season! We had the beach and the park (mostly) to ourselves, enjoying the beautiful coastal views and the Manhattan skyline in the distance. Just as the sun popped up above the horizon, it softly painted the clouds with soft hues of pinks and purples. Despite the cold, Tom and Dana absolutely rocked their time in front of our cameras. They also brought along their sweet pup, Dagger, to join them in a few photos, and even walked the chilly sand along the beach barefoot as the sun started to really shine!
The first hike Tom and Dana ever took Dagger on was to Little Stony Point in Cold Spring, New York about two years ago. Every weekend during the warmer months of the year they take Dagger on a hike in Westchester or Connecticut, but they hadn't been back to Little Stony Point since that first time. Tom knew he wanted to propose to Dana there since it holds a special place in their relationship, so this summer they finally went back to Little Stony Point. As they were standing on the small beach looking out at the Hudson River and the mountains, Tom got down on one knee and asked Dana to be his wife!
These two are celebrating their wedding day this September in New Jersey, and we couldn’t be happier for them! Congratulations Dana and Tom!
When did you know you'd found "the one"?
Dana: “I knew I found the one when I was in my second semester of PT school, and I was freaking out about a Kinesiology exam. No matter how much I studied I was still so nervous. I stressed about the results of that test every day until we got it back a few weeks later. I got a 99 on the exam, and Tom told me that he knew all along that I was going to do great because I was smart and I could do it. Even though everyone else in my life told me the same thing, coming from him it was something different, it felt different.”
Tom: “The first night we stayed up the entire night just talking and laughing the whole time.”
What's one thing you love about your partner?
Dana: “He takes me out of my comfort zone, or at least he tries to.”
Tom: “She's just silly all the time, and I can be a little bit too serious at times so she levels me out.”
Besides getting married, what is one thing you're looking forward to on your wedding day?
Dana: “Being surrounded by ALL the people we love from all the different parts of our lives, and my dress!”
Tom: “Seeing Dana for the first time in her dress.”
What's one thing you're looking forward to about marriage?
Dana: “Although we have lived together for years, and have had "our life" together, it's a new chapter as husband and wife, and a new journey.”
Tom: “Always knowing that she is going to be there no matter what.”
