Annie and Mike’s June wedding at Whitby Castle in Rye, New York was nothing short of enchanting! A romantic black-tie affair with a breathtaking castle backdrop, their day unfolded like a modern-day fairytale filled with love, joy, and timeless elegance. Capturing a celebration as effortlessly graceful as Mike and Annie’s was an absolute dream!
We first spent time with these sweethearts last spring during their Greenwich Point Beach engagement session, and what a lovely time we had getting to know them! Annie and Mike’s engagement session was a fantastic indication of what their wedding day would be like, so Arturo and I had been eagerly looking forward to celebrating this sweet pair ever since!
The anticipation in the air was palpable as Annie and Mike shared their first look on the expansive balcony of the hotel where they got ready. With bright afternoon light setting the scene, it was a quiet, emotional moment the two of them will never forget, and neither will we! Annie looked radiant in her classic gown, and Mike’s reaction said everything without a single word.
Whitby Castle provided a regal setting for their outdoor ceremony, its stone façade and lush grounds creating an atmosphere that was both timeless and intimate. With a color palette of crisp whites, soft greens, and gentle blues, the ceremony décor perfectly complemented the early summer landscape!
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration continued inside Whitby Castle’s grand ballroom. The evening was filled with heartfelt toasts, laughter, and an energetic dance floor that kept guests on their feet all night long! From romantic candlelight to exuberant group dances, the reception was a perfect reflection of Annie and Mike: classic, vibrant, and full of life.
