One of the sweetest parts of being a wedding photographer is getting to watch our couples’ stories continue long after the wedding day. In 2019, we had the honor of photographing Mariah and Alexi’s wedding day. This fall, I got to see them again for a family photography session, and this time, their family had grown by two littles!
Arturo and I have had the honor of photographing so many milestones in Maggie and Donald’s lives over the last few years, from their engagement session to their wedding day, and now their growing family. Seeing familiar faces return for new chapters is one of the greatest joys of being a family photographer.
There’s something so special about photographing families who were once one of our wedding clients, and Nicole and Ryan are no exception! Arturo and I had the joy of capturing their wedding day in 2023, and this fall, we met up with them again for their family photography session at South Pine Creek Beach with their adorable son.
This autumn family session at Smith Farm Gardens in East Haddam, Connecticut had all of my favorite components of a perfect fall day: golden light, vibrant colors of the leaves, and a crispness in the air. I loved having Anna and Stephen in front of my camera again, this time with their sweet little babe, Sofie!
There’s nothing quite like fall in New England; the crisp air, golden light, and colorful foliage make it the perfect time for family photos. This Waveny Park family photography session was full of laughter, playfulness, and those heartwarming moments.
This autumn family session took place on a beautiful evening at Calf Pasture Beach. Family sessions like this are a reminder of why I love what I do. It’s not just about photographs, it’s about continuing to be a part of our couples’ stories long after their wedding day, and capturing the love that grows year after year!
This sweet family session was extra special because it featured one of our 2024 couples, Rachel and Colin, along with their daughter, Josie, and their adorable pup, Cooper. Watching their little family grow has been such a joy, and this golden hour session at Harkness Park felt like the perfect way to celebrate this new season of life!

Over the years, especially in the last 3-4 since many more of our couples have been growing their families, a variety of our past clients have asked if Arturo and I will ever start to offer family sessions again. My answer was almost always no… until now!
We’ve been photographing Ashley and Patrick since their elopement in 2019, and it’s been such a joy to see their family grow over the past few years. Last November they booked a family session at Walnut Beach in Milford, Connecticut, and we had the most perfect day!
Between the colorful leaves, crisp autumn air, and that cozy feeling that comes with the changing seasons, it’s one of my favorite times of the year to photograph families. Some sessions are especially meaningful, and Jackie and Beau’s fall family session at Gallaher Mansion in Cranbury Park in Norwalk, Connecticut was definitely one of them.
