A SMITH FARM GARDENS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION

This autumn family session at Smith Farm Gardens in East Haddam, Connecticut had all of my favorite components of a perfect fall day: golden light, vibrant colors of the leaves, and a crispness in the air. I loved having Anna and Stephen in front of my camera again, this time with their sweet little babe, Sofie! From their engagement session in 2022, to their Smith Farm Gardens wedding in 2023, and most recently their family session this month, photographing these milestones for this sweet couple has been such an honor!

From the moment we began their session, it was clear how much love and joy surrounded this trio. Smith Farm Gardens provided a stunning backdrop, with its historic charm, expansive grounds, and colorful fall foliage adding the perfect touch to every shot.

Some of my favorite moments from the day were when Sofie’s adoring parents paused between poses to snuggle her close and whisper to her. The way they smiled and cooed over their baby girl melted my heart; it was those simple, unscripted moments that perfectly captured the love of a young family.

The atmosphere throughout the session was relaxed and fun, just the way any family photography session should be. We wandered through the grounds of Smith Farm Gardens and let the moments unfold naturally. The result? Genuine smiles, warm, cozy moments, and photos that truly reflect this family’s beautiful bond!
