A GUILFORD YACHT CLUB WEDDING
Heather and Josh’s coastal October wedding at the Guilford Yacht Club in Guilford, Connecticut was an autumn dream! It was a beautiful sunny day with a crispness in the breeze. Arturo and I had a fantastic time working with the newlyweds and their families, but what made it even better was the stellar vendor team that they put together to make their day extra magical!
Last fall, I spent some time with Josh and Heather during their engagement session at the Saybrook Point Inn Marina. On their wedding day, both Heather and Josh’s mom told me that though Josh isn’t a fan of photos, he had a wonderful time at their engagement session, and it made me so happy to hear that! Knowing that is one of the best compliments our clients can give us as wedding photographers! It made me that much more excited to document their day.
Our afternoon started with Heather at Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, Connecticut as she got ready for the day ahead. She was one of the most relaxed brides we’ve seen! Her bridal style was soft and romantic, with a floral flair added to her dress (and a matching veil to boot!).
We met Josh at the Guilford Yacht Club on the lawn along the reeds for the first look. Heather walked up behind him, but stopped when she was about 6 feet away from him and called out Josh’s name. He turned around, and the smiles that were already beaming on their faces only shined brighter! They quickly embraced and giggled together, realizing they were only a little over an hour away from their wedding ceremony.
Josh and Heather exchanged their vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife as their friends and family cheered around them. They celebrated well into the evening, dancing the night away and enjoying the signature cocktails with their guests.
Congratulations Heather and Josh! Thank you for including us in your day. Cheers to many happy years ahead!
