The Inn at Longshore Wedding in Westport, CT | Miranda & Byron

A RAINY WEDDING DAY AT THE INN AT LONGSHORE

We kicked off our 2023 season with Miranda and Byron’s Sunday brunch wedding at the Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut. Their elegant event was filled with colorful florals, lovely views of the water, and joyful guests enjoying the day’s festivities. Arturo and I first spent some time with Byron and Miranda back in December at their Walnut Beach winter engagement session, and from those first few moments, we knew their day was going to be a cheerful one!

We began our morning with Miranda and her bridesmaids as they all got ready for the day ahead. The feeling of anticipation and excitement was in the air as the beautiful bride was surrounded by some of her favorite people. After getting into her gown, Miranda met Byron on the back lawn for their first look. A thick fog covered most of the water, but luckily it quickly began to clear, providing the perfect setting for their portraits!

The bride and groom exchanged vows in a wonderful ceremony, surrounded by lush greenery and florals with the water behind them. After sharing their first kiss, the newlyweds were cheered on by their friends and family who were in attendance as they walked up the aisle, smiles beaming from cheek to cheek. Though Byron and Miranda’s wedding day was mostly foggy with overcast skies, it was a perfect example of how photographs can still be filled with plenty of light and color!

Miranda looked absolutely radiant in her elegant gown, and Byron equally dapper in his classic suit. They were the picture of complete and total happiness as they shared their first dance as a married couple, surrounded by the love of their family and friends.

Their guests enjoyed a lovely brunch reception in Longshore’s elegant ballroom with tables that were adorned with vibrant floral arrangements in shades of oranges, corals, yellows, and blues, adding a pop of color to the neutral scheme of the room. The design and detail were evident in every aspect of the décor, from the beautiful linens to the stunning floral centerpieces!

THE LOVE STORY

Byron and Miranda met on Hinge when they both lived in San Francisco. After chatting, they discovered their mutual love of museums. Their first date was to the Cal Academy of Sciences, but things really took off on the couple’s second date, when they spent the afternoon walking along San Francisco's northern shoreline.

Byron and Miranda, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness as you step into this new season of your lives together. Congratulations to you both!

I loved the soft, feminine details of Miranda’s Justin Alexander bridal gown!

Byron and Miranda’s foggy wedding day was a beautiful example of how portraits can still have plenty of light and pops of color even with the skies are cloudy!

They’re MARRIED!

How stunning are those bouquets?!

The colorful floral centerpieces paired with the table linens were just a few of our favorite design details from this incredible wedding celebration!
