2023 was quite a year for Shaina Lee Photography in so many wonderful ways! It was our busiest year with a jam-packed calendar pretty much from start to finish. Arturo and I began photographing winter engagement sessions in February, and went right through to the very last second of 2023 (and the first few of 2024) with a New Year’s Eve wedding!

31 weddings. 20 engagement sessions. 10 family sessions. Whew!

2023 was the rainiest wedding season I’ve ever experienced in my almost 15 years as a wedding photographer. The weather was almost always beautiful and sunny during the week, but we had so many weekends that were washed out. However, that didn’t keep our couples from celebrating big time! The rainy wedding days also forced Arturo and me to get even more creative with locations and accessories (clear bubble umbrellas to the rescue!). The best part? Our couples trusted us entirely!

Last year we also met many new and wonderful couples. When we weren’t photographing weddings, our 2024 calendar was filling up quite quickly. In 2023, Arturo and I brought back family sessions to our offerings, which allowed us to connect with several of our past wedding clients!⁠

The two of us have been dreaming up some exciting things for 2024, and we cannot wait to share those in the months ahead. In the meantime, enjoy some of our favorite moments from 2023!
