Central Park Spring Engagement Session in New York, NY | Lily & Ian
A CENTRAL PARK ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Central Park is one of the most iconic locations in New York City, and it's the perfect spot for a romantic engagement session. Earlier this week, Arturo and I had the pleasure of photographing Lily and Ian’s sunrise engagement session in Central Park. Our morning started at Bethesda Terrace before we later made our way to Bow Bridge. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful morning!
If you’ve followed our blog for a while, you know just how much Arturo and I love to incorporate historical architecture into our couples’ photographs. The grand staircase at Bethesda Terrace never disappoints, and I love the view it gives of the park’s lower level! The sun had just risen, casting a soft, golden light across the scenery of Central Park and into Lily and Ian’s engagement photos!
Next, we made our way to Bow Bridge, one of the park’s most iconic landmarks. The bridge is a beautiful spot for portraits, with the water of The Lake stretching out behind it and the trees of the park framing Ian and Lily just perfectly. Just as we ended their session, the sun really popped out from behind the clouds, beautifully illuminating the willow trees of the park!
Arturo and I had a wonderful morning with these two, and we know their summer wedding is going to be equally as lovely!
THE PROPOSAL STORY
In September of 2022, Lily and Ian were visiting the Jersey Shore with their families on Labor Day weekend. One day that weekend, Ian had suggested they go for a walk together in downtown Spring Lake. As they crossed the pedestrian footbridge in Divine Park, Ian got down on one knee and asked Lily if she would spend the rest of her life with him! Of course, she said yes, and they headed back to Ian’s parents’ house. Much to their excitement, both of their families surprised Lily and Ian with a small engagement party with balloons, champagne, cookies, and plenty of joy and love to surround the couple!
These two are getting married this August at Shore and Country Club in Norwalk, Connecticut, and we know their day is going to be an incredible one! Congratulations Lily and Ian!
