Earlier this year, Nika and Javier were on vacation in North Carolina together, enjoying the fresh spring air from the warmth the hot tub at their vacation home. Javier told Nika he needed to go inside and get something, so she said she'd go with him. Thinking they were finished with the hot tub for the day, Nika went into the closest to grab a sweatshirt to block the chill of the early spring air. As she turned to return outside, there was Javier, down on one knee exclaiming, " I can't wait," holding a box with a beautiful engagement ring!

I don't even think she had made it to the 24-hour mark of being engaged when she reached out to me asking about my availability to photograph her engagement session. Alexa explained that she had been following my work for a few years on Facebook, and knew long before Pete ever proposed that she wanted us to photograph the two of them at Tod's Point in Greenwich, Connecticut. To say I was completely honored would be an understatement!
