Jasmine and James were the last couple I photographed this year. Despite the New England coastal winds and gray December day, they were all smiles during their engagement session at Walnut Beach in Milford, Connecticut! We started off at the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point, where James asked Jasmine out on a date over eight years ago. They showed me the small back road where it all happened when they were in high school! After a quick outfit change, we traveled down the road to Walnut Beach for the remainder of their session, where we even caught a bit of the sunset!
Earlier this year on Valentine's Day, James surprised Jasmine with a romantic trip to Canada where they'd be celebrating their anniversary the following month. Being it was their first time in Canada, they saw Niagara Falls, walked around Niagara on the Lake, and even had a day at the spa! On the last day of their trip (and actual anniversary!) in late March, James took Jasmine to a beautiful breakfast and told her they had plans at 11am. After their meal they took a stroll around town, where Jasmine heard a noise coming up behind her but thought nothing of it. She finally turned around to see it was a horse drawn carriage. James told her it was for them, and she didn't believe him! They were taken for a beautiful carriage tour, learning about the history of the town. As they approached the water, James stopped the carriage, where he then proposed to Jasmine! After the shock of a romantic proposal subsided, she said yes, and cried many (happy!) tears!
Jasmine and James, I am so happy for you both! I loved photographing your engagement session, and cannot wait to document your wedding day in August at Saint Clements Castle! Cheers to new adventures in 2017!
