Tell me a bit about you and your business!  How did you get started in the wedding industry?
"I fell in love with makeup at a young age. I’ve always been an artistic person and took all the art classes I possibly could in school. When I was about 15, I discovered makeup and it became my favorite medium. As soon as I graduated college in 2015, I decided makeup was what I needed to do with my life so I began networking and made my way into the wedding industry!”

What do you love most about your makeup artistry?
"Out of everything in my life, I always feel the most at peace and comfortable when I am doing makeup. I love that I am able to create art and express my creativity in such a fun way, while also empowering women and helping to build their self-confidence.”

What should couples know about your process and about working with you?
"Wedding planning can definitely be overwhelming, so I try to make working with us as stress-free, easy, and straightforward as possible! We pay attention to every detail, from the moment you contact us to waving goodbye on your wedding day, we are here to make your life easier! I have spent years creating a booking process that is efficient and simple and I try to communicate everything upfront so there are hopefully no unanswered questions (although, I am an open book so any and all questions are welcome)!”

What is your favorite part about working with brides who are planning their wedding day?
"My favorite part about working with brides is the creative process behind the look we choose. As a makeup artist, I typically only see you once before your wedding: at your makeup trial. It is crucial that we use this time wisely so I always begin a makeup trial by asking about the bride’s personal style, her love story, the wedding colors and theme, the florals, the dresses… everything! This really helps me to create a look that truly suits our bride. I personally love a naturally glamorous style that embraces and enhances our bride’s natural features, but I also love collaborating with them to create a look they feel comfortable and beautiful in!”

What (or who) inspires your creativity?
"My clients inspire my creativity. Each makeup look I create is tailor-made to fit that client. Sometimes during a wedding or makeup appointment, I am asked to “do whatever I want”, which at times could be nice, but typically I feed off my client’s energy. I love to hear about you, your life, your dreams, all of it. My goal is to bring all that light and beauty that is inside you and manifest it on the outside!”

How early should couples book you to ensure you'll be available for their wedding day?
"We suggest booking at least a year out if you know your date is a popular one! We typically book anywhere from 3 months to 2 years out, so there is definitely a wide range. To be safe, I’d say a year is best.”

What is one tip or piece of advice you'd give a couple for their wedding day?
"Enjoy it! Every moment counts. Take time throughout the day to step back, look around, and let it sink in. Also, communicate and set expectations for everyone around you ahead of time (not as deep but very important)! It is never fun when someone isn’t where they are supposed to be at a certain time or someone can’t find something. Communication is key and will make the day go by so much smoother!”
