How I See Love

As a wedding photographer, I'm often asked about the hardest part about my job.  Often times I'll respond with the things I find challenging as an entrepreneur, all of which are severely outweighed by the many wonderful aspects of my career.  Though there are multiple things I've deemed to be my "favorite" parts of being a photographer, I'd say that documenting love has to take the cake!

If you know me, you know I'm a hopeless romantic.  One of my favorite romance movies is When Harry Met Sally.  In this story, Harry and Sally come in and out of each other's lives multiple times.  In the end, they're meant to be.  They've met their match, their soul mate.  As Harry Burns so wonderfully said, "I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

This is how I see love.  Two people that share a love that sets their souls on fire, who can't imagine having anyone else as their soul mate.  When I see that two people share that kind of love, I can't wait to freeze that moment in time for them to look back on for years to come.  Am I inspired by the love of two fictional characters?  Maybe.  But I'm even more driven and inspired by not only my own marriage, but of the love and romance shared between my clients each and everyday!
