Whitby Castle Wedding in Rye, NY | Mallory & Joe

Rye, New York has some of my favorite wedding venues around, and Whitby Castle is one of them! Arturo and I instantly connected with Mallory and Joe from the first time we chatted with the two of them last summer. We spent some time during their Fort Stamford Park engagement session listening to the details they were planning for their spring wedding, and we knew it was going to be a beautiful day!

A WHITBY CASTLE WEDDING

Joe and Mallory were married at Saint Mary’s Church in Stamford, Connecticut. It’s a stunning church with beautiful and historic architecture that I just couldn’t get enough of. Saint Mary’s is the same church where they were both baptized AND where each of their parents were married as well!

When the ceremony concluded, we made our way to Whitby Castle in Rye for wedding party portraits, then newlywed photos. Whitby is one of my favorite wedding venues, and each time we’re there Arturo and I find some new locations for romantic portraits. There was sun and rain during the 20 minutes we had for their portraits, but that didn’t stop Arturo and me from capturing newlywed photos!

Mallory and Joe’s wedding guests certainly kept the dance floor packed as they celebrated the newlyweds. Arturo and I always enjoy photographing different cultural dances and traditions at our couples’ weddings. When the Tarantella came on, I found myself wishing I was Italian! Joe and Mallory’s guests definitely pumped up the energy of the evening with this song as they danced to its beat together!

Whitby Castle is one of my favorite venues to create some magical nighttime portraits, especially when the outside of the castle is lit up! Our evening ended with Mallory and Joe standing under the covered entrance way of the castle, bringing so much love into these last photos!

Joe and Mallory celebrated their nuptials with a mini moon in Puerto Rico, and are heading to Italy this fall to celebrate again! Congratulations you two! We couldn’t have been more honored to be the ones to document your day!

Mallory was a beautiful bride!

The new Mr. & Mrs!!

Mallory’s veil was made from her mother’s wedding dress by her grandmother!

I just adore the way these two admire each other!

How gorgeous is this wedding cake?! The sugar flowers were exquisite!

I hope you enjoyed this Whitby Castle wedding!  Do you know Mallory and Joe?  Show the newlyweds some love by commenting below!
