Tori and Matt have been together for over nine years and are getting married on their 10th anniversary!!!  Arturo and I photographed these two during the first snowfall of the season at Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull, Connecticut, and it was an absolute DREAM!  We had the entire park to ourselves, which felt like a winter wonderland.  It had been snowing since about 7 a.m. so the ground was covered with a fresh white blanket of snow and flakes continued to fall softly around us.  Arturo and I have been hoping that at least one of our sessions would take place during a (light) snowstorm, and the day finally came!  It was perfectly romantic in every way!

After a few months of emailing back and forth, we were so anxious to finally meet Tori and Matt!  They are gentle, kind, and a wonderful match for each other.  Tori has a smile that's totally contagious, understandably so when she has a partner as sweet as Matt!  During their session, I would ask them to nuzzle close together, during which Matt took this as an opportunity to sneak a few kisses to his future bride!

Matt is a mechanic, so naturally he wears a uniform to work.  He usually arrives home around 4:30 p.m., but one day he had to work late (or so Tori thought!).  When he finally came home, Tori immediately noticed Matt wasn't in his work uniform which raised her suspicions of what he was actually up to.  With a slight attitude, she looked at him and asked, "I thought you said you were working late?"  Matt stumbled his words for a second as he walked towards Tori and finally said, "Your nails look great," (at this point, Tori totally thought he was sweet talking her!) "but they  would look better with this...  He then got down on one knee and asked Tori to marry him, holding her grandmother's ring (you guys know how I love when family heirlooms come into play!)!  "Are you serious?!" she exclaimed in total shock!  Once it set in for Tori that this moment was real and he was in fact very serious she said yes!!

We can't wait to see these two sweet souls tie the knot at the Washington Club in Washington, Connecticut this July!

When did you know you'd found "the one"?

Tori: "Shortly after I had come home from our first date my rabbit passed away.  When Matt called to say he had a great time and asked if I did, I told him I really enjoyed the night but my rabbit had died.  20 minutes later he showed up at my house to bury my rabbit and be with me.  I knew right then that he was the one. "

Matt: "I knew I found the one when every time I left her, I felt something was missing whether it was for 10 minutes or a couples days."

What's one thing you love about your partner?

Tori: "I love what an amazingly kind heart he has."

Matt: "One thing I love about Tori is how she’s always smiling.  She's constantly making me and everyone else smile."

Besides getting married, what's one thing you're looking forward to on your wedding day?

Tori: "Getting to celebrate with family and friends who have seen Matt and I grow as a couple."

Matt: "Being with friends and family to enjoy the day together."

What's one thing you're looking forward to about marriage?

Tori: "Being able to continue our life together with Matt as my husband."

Matt: "Starting our new life together, buying a house, and just enjoying life."
