Despite the humid, sticky weather, Sara and Andrew were all smiles during their engagement session at Waveny Park in New Canaan! All week the forecast was calling for rain and cloudy skies, but we lucked out with some of the most beautiful golden summer light.

Javier told Nika he needed to go inside and get something, so she said she'd go with him. Thinking they were finished with the hot tub for the day, Nika went into the closest to grab a sweatshirt to block the chill of the early spring air. As she turned to return outside, there was Javier, down on one knee exclaiming, " I can't wait," holding a box with a beautiful engagement ring!

We had originally planned to take their engagement photos at Harkness Memorial State Park, but it was unfortunately closed on the day of their session due to a heavy rainstorm the night before. Being eager to keep their engagement session date, it only made sense that Southport was their backup location!
