If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the first few months of 2019, it’s that winter weddings and portrait sessions are absolutely BEAUTIFUL, despite the trees and flowers not being in bloom! This gorgeous winter wedding at Haley Mansion in Mystic, Connecticut had so many gorgeous details… I just couldn’t get enough of them all! Weddings that take place in seaside coastal towns in New England will always have my heart for the charm and elegance they each seem to possess.
The day started off with individual portraits of the bride and groom in their suites as they prepared for the day’s festivities ahead. The two shared a romantic first look along the stairs in the entryway of the mansion, which was lined with candle sticks and floral garland! I’m always so thankful that our couples are willing to head out into the cold winter weather for some beautiful romantic wedding day portraits, which is exactly what we did before heading back inside for the ceremony.
A short and sweet ceremony was followed by more portraits of the newlyweds outside in front of Haley Mansion. As they freshened up for their reception, I headed back inside to capture some of the most stunning details for their intimate soirée! A color palette of soft blues and whites, as well as rose and champagne hues were the perfect blend of crisp cool winter tones with a touch of warmth and coziness.
The day ended with a toast and first dance as the newlyweds swayed slowly together across the dance floor!
