As I photographed Jasmine during her boudoir session, while editing her photos and even sitting down to write this blog post, one word kept coming to mind: FIERCE! This beautiful lady is just that—she embodies the word's entire meaning! Jasmine has a heart of gold and a gorgeous smile. To top it all of, this Shaina Lee Beauty makes lounging around look incredibly sexy! As I was snapping photos, I would occasionally stop and turn the camera around for Jasmine to see how stunning she truly is. With a grin on her face, she would exclaim, "Who is that woman? That's me?! I barely recognize her!" The funny thing is, Jasmine came into the studio and did her own makeup. Nothing fancy, just a bit of eyeliner and lipstick for her session—a beautiful and natural look.

Jasmine is newly separated, and came to me wanting to do a session for herself and no one else. I love working with women, especially when they tell me that these photos are for them and only them! When we were saying our goodbyes after her session, Jasmine said to me, "You made me feel like Beyoncé today!" If that's not a compliment to a boudoir photographer, I don't know what is! Her words warmed my heart and resonated so well with me, because that's exactly what I aim to do during my clients' boudoir sessions. I want them to know that they are beautiful now. I want them to walk away from their session feeling empowered and confident!
