Print Your Photos!

How many times have you invested in a photographer, only to gush over the photos, but never get them printed?  If there's one thing I cannot stress enough, it is to print. your. photographs!  I can't even remember how many times I've spoken with people who invested in a photographer, whether it be for a wedding or a family session, only to have all of their images live on a USB drive stashed in a desk drawer or an online gallery instead of decorating the walls of their home.  As a full service photographer, I'm not going to lie, it hurts to see this happen!

It makes me so happy when my clients tell me they want to order a canvas to hang above their bed, or an album to preserve their wedding day memories, or even a parent album (a smaller version of the custom heirloom wedding album that my wedding couples receive) as a thank you gift to their parents and grandparents.  Don't get me wrong, I love helping them design their holiday cards as well, but it makes me even prouder to know when they've ordered photographic prints from that holiday session to display in and around their homes!

So print a few of the photos from your family's summer trip (even if they're 4x6 or 5x7!), and frame them to hang on the wall going up the staircase.  The great thing about frames is the photos can be easily changed out each time you have new family photos taken!  Don't let the photos from last year's family holiday session stay hidden in a folder on your computer after sending out those Christmas cards.  Order a 16x20 or, better yet, a 30x40 metal print of your favorite wedding day image to hang above the mantel in the living room.  Be sure to have an album designed that highlights the other details of your wedding day.  Your photographer (a.k.a. yours truly) will be happy to order professional prints and albums to help you preserve the memories and love that your family shares for generations to come!
