Groom Wedding Preparation

What to Expect

LIGHTING

Grooms, in case you didn’t read this on the Bride’s Prep page (no worries, why would you?), just by having a simple window in the room you’ll be getting ready in, we are able to create portraits with soft light. We prefer natural light so the more windows, the better!

HAVE YOUR ACCESSORIES READY

The groom shouldn’t have all of his wedding attire on when we arrive, as we like to capture details like the bow tie, shoes, cufflinks and other accessories before the groom is wearing them.  Like the bridal portraits, we want to be sure to capture the excitement and anticipation of the groom, too! Below is a list of things to have ready for us to photograph when we arrive as to make the most use out of our time during this part of the day:

- Bow tie or Tie
- Watch
- Cufflinks
- Shoes
- Boutonniere
- Cologne
- Heirloom Pieces
- Personalized items

BOUTONNIERES

If possible, please have your boutonnieres delivered to the location where you’ll be getting ready. This way we can photograph it with the rest of your details, and then it can be pinned onto your lapel before heading out for the first look or ceremony!
